About the Blog

Greetings, earthlings (and otherlings), and welcome to the SoftArtisans blog! We are a merry band of coders passionate about ASP.NET, Excel, SharePoint, Mobile development and SQL. Here, we cover topics we think pertinent to IT architects, developers, designers, usability engineers and tech marketers, so whether you want to dig into Windows authentication in Drupal, rock out to a pivot table remix of “Popular,” or find qualified Twitter users in your industry to follow, we got your back.

We’ve been around since 1997, a year when Geocities still ruled and Eric Raymond’s “The Cathedral and the Bazaar” made a buzzword out of OSS. Currently, we’re headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, home to the Perkins School for the Blind, a large swath of the Charles River, the band Boston, and the country’s best deli, first grist mill.

You can learn more about what we do at our main site, softartisans.com, and check out our current and future products at officewriter.com and fileup.softartisans.com. If you’re more interested in what we know, however, you’ve come to the right place! You can find posts by clicking on the main categories at the top, or get specific using the categories on the left-hand sidebar. See bloggers we follow (also on the left-hand sidebar) and get to know us through our ongoing Meet the Team series. If what you’re seeking can’t be found, or if you have clarification questions, please feel free to leave us a comment, or email Elise, the blogging administrator: elisek@softartisans.com.
